The brief Nama is a new entrant to the cat food segment. The direct-to-customer brand aims to disrupt the category by offering premium quality cat food at an affordable price point. Made in Japan, the brand promises high quality ingredients.
The approach Nama was a name that means 'raw' in Japanese. This name was coined to connect with the brand's USP - fresh, high quality fish from Japan, and canned immediately with state-of-the-art canning processes to retain nutrients. Awchat and Olsen designed the packaging to standout on the digital marketplace. Considering the small visible space available on the primary packaging, we developed a typographic-led design, supported by a striking colour palette. This helped the brand stand out on the digital shelf from all the other brands.
